i handed in the last essay for this semester today. phew. what a relief. now it's just a matter of time before the exams and my flight home.

my recent involvement with quite a number of germanics has led me and my friends to question "what is german food?". thus we all trooped down to a quaint german restaurant, alt heidelberg, which is owned and runned by a german family. naturally, all the germans (including the owners) were conversing happily about deutschland and all those things. according to the waitress, who spoke fluent german and is prob the daughter, she finds the interior decor more german than germany. AH. nonetheless, a night of sausages, kassler, sauerkraut, excellent german (weihenstephan) beer and witty reparté seemed to put a smile on everyone's face.

i like the fact that it was extremely multicultural. it's something that singaporeans take for granted. of course, a majority of singies (as the hongkees call us) still 'clusterfuck'. pfft..

alt heidelberg..
