randomness.
information overload today after my 1h exam on european integration has left me mentally numb. my brain can no longer absorb economics terms like a sponge, nor apply them appropriately. policy names, fluctuations, baskets, exchange rates and institutions - aye, it's been bloody 4 years since i had anything to do with economics. (ok, studying adam smith and the enlightenment is just a tip of the iceberg.)
i've missed my Romantic concepts, cultural explorations and philosophical/political theories that i'm used to at uwa. but these practical courses could (oh dear me) prove useful in the working world some day. at this moment, perhaps i'm only a part fluffyhead (a term one of my teachers back in plmgss called arts students).
daily bike rides have been a (rewarding) challenge. to zigzag among cars, buses, tourists and fellow cyclists; to balance my groceries, bag and sunglasses (on my nose, no less) and to arrange all my barang at the traffic light stops.
one of the residents in my neighbourhood loves karaoke. it is 2:15pm, her doors are open and she is singing acapella to "across the universe". terribly amusing. this is not the first time, of course.
at the moment, i've got an apartment to tidy, a bag to pack and a birthday picnic to attend.
then, we're off to prague!
