the month of november has been one of ups and downs: finishing my bachelor's degree, facing the reality of leaving sunny perth, nils having a bad accident, packing, partying, saying good byes..making memories, basically.
saying goodbye to pearl, my lovely housemate. pearl is a brilliant student - every teacher's dream. living with her has been such a positive experience. we've found out each other's quirky habits. hers include coming out of her room every 90mins to make/heat a cup of tea, make small portions of cereal, nuts or chocolate..and when stressed, she screams my name throughout the apartment. very endearing.
i say she could've packed herself in that luggage..
nils's accident has resulted in me spending a lot of time in the hospital, even during the exam period. he spent about 2 weeks in three different hospitals, going for multiple check ups/scans/procedures, watching dvds, entertaining visitors, and smiling for the camera. at the moment, he spends his time recuperating in an apartment by the beach and has been given the a-okay to go back to norway next week.
11th nov: spent on Rotto. 41 fucking degrees celsius. cycling up and down the hilly island. we found a neat little spot where we baked ourselves. we also had a private swimming pool - sort of.

15th nov: end of my (only) exam! retail therapy was planned weeks in advance.
16th nov: night out at the library. it's a club, really.
after gen and deepa left, zy and i met really random people and discovered that ass-groping seemed to be the preferred way some blokes liked to approach girls. ugh. but here we are enjoying ourselves in our photobooth.

17th nov: lunch at leederville with auds.
inside one of the many cute shops along oxford street.
in the city: bagpiper of "a kilted generation".
auds needed to shop for sunnies.
we have clearance to take off..
we went really high after drinking these green tea chillers. i started rambling and auds laughed at everything i said. we were two giggly girls sitting among the homeless/goths/punks in the city that day. and we didn't care. i will miss her terribly much:(
