getting used to monotony and routine is one thing. wanting to change it and actually changing it is another. as humans, we get too comfortable in one place almost too easily. but how can we tell if it's comfort or monotony that we're getting our asses into?
the easiest would obviously be if you're happy doing what you do. i often wonder, will you eventually like what you do? i prefer to do what i like. but sometimes new experiences come with a certain level of surprise and achievement, not often without frustration and disappointment.
then again, optimism and pessimism are such trifle feelings that you never can tell whether you are one or the other. which are you? is the cup half full or half empty? i believe both are in every individual, but he is which mindset he wants to assimilate. perhaps we can all be naive and call ourselves idealists and optimists. or be rational, and call ourselves pessimists or realists.
nonetheless daring to dream somehow only comes after the feeling of monotony.
