the past (almost) 2 weeks back home have been very eventful - running around the island (thankfully for dad's car, really), (re)discovering lesser frequented areas, eating food glorious food and just relaxing, catching up and having a good laugh.
warning: picture overload!
haw par villa
i remember this place as a kid - i used to be scared of the ten courts of hell. being quite a naive child, i believed everything anyone told me. older and perhaps wiser, i could only laugh at the tackiness and orhbit-ness while being reminded of my chinese roots.
venturing to the more ulu parts of the island..
up north, there's an area that's virtually untouched. seems like it's only accessible by car or personal transport as there aren't any public services. it was a beautiful day - tufts of cloud dotting a blue sky. some families picnic-ed at a small beach while fishermen held discourse on the latest fishing tackles. my speculation, naturally.
a rainy day out with christine..
alas, rain will not dampen my mood when i'm out with christine. was excellent to catch up and do a little retail therapy with my kayaking partner :)
good ol' city hall + cbd area..
a personal favourite area of the city i return to every time i'm back on singapore soil. usual route starts from the esplanade to the padang, city hall, supreme court and finishing off at boat quay with a chai latte. hooyeah.
haji lane..
a day out with shoobs is guaranteed good. period.
changi village..
for me, another lesser frequented area. below is a picture of the jetty which hosts bunkboats to ubin. i should go there soon.
a day out with shoobs exploring ann siang hill..
the amount of pics is just a tip of the iceberg. photowhore galore.
lomo shots will be up soon, once my internet connection is less erratic. bugger.
