i have a monthly routine of tearing down each passing month of my friend's calendar and writing a quote on the back of it and passing it back to him. it's like a little reminder of the relative light-speed of time and the little aspects of life we take forgranted.
this time, the quote was
"in heaven, all the interesting people are missing" - friedrich nietzsche
hohum. another reminder for myself is the daily crossing out of days on my whiteboard calendar as the days go by. or whipping out my handphone to count the number of days left till i'm back in singapore. or noticing that dein schweiss by sven väth is only 4:51 mins long. a pity.
no matter how much we plan, organise or (try do) predict, there really are some things we never imagined seeing in our crystal ball hearts. nonetheless the best we can do is greet life's obstacles with a big hello and hopefully bid them a good riddance buhbye eventually, taking all the good learning experiences with you.
