met up with old friends today - shaun and liang'an. both are still pretty much the same. liang's still as patriotic to sa rugby as ever. shaun's still the same gentleman. very pleased to catch up with these 2. we had a pleasant yet high tension-ed time debating about religion..sex..and the older woman relationship thing. very interesting to peer inside the typical mindset of a testosterone pumped guy. *shrug not that i needed much insight anway.
before meeting them, i read for 2h at kino. my material wasn't the usual classics i read, but instead of a contemporary writer. the only few contemp. writers i read are marian keyes and roald dahl (can't remember any others). and today i picked up..."the secret dreamworld of a shopaholic" by sophie kinsella. heh. it's quite interesting, really. i find myself having an affinity with the protagonist. sigh.
so in true shopaholic fashion, i bought a pair of heels.
will the lights go out today
will we never again see the sky
will we ever see the dafodils play
will we ever watch life go by
is disappointment so hard to fathom
will we crumble at the slightest touch
would we be able to face them
or hide behind the couch
when the dawn has broken
when the day is near
maybe then will words be spoken
and never out of fear
