macritchie

it's been a while since i last went to macritchie reservoir. it's still as lovely and peaceful and quiet as ever - until the canoeing community shifts down, that is. aside from a bloody high humidity level and the occasional sun rays, i guess it was pretty ok. felt like i was being roasted though, as there was little wind. the races only compromised of the kayaks 1, 2 and 4. i've never sat on a k4 before..but i reckon it's fun.

after a k4 race

hohum. by bringing the canoeing community down to macritchie, it seems more professional and "world-class", although our standards are pretty far. heh. nonetheless, it's a step, although a baby one. i somehow missed the atmosphere of kallang, cheering our hearts out, complaining about the sun and heat, watching the plethora of boats launch at the pontoon. it's awfully quiet at macritchie, partly because it's a nature park thingamajig. apparently, the water's really clean as compared to kallang, and it doesn't sting the eyes so my juniors are pretty happy with it. i just want to paddle in such calm conditions. seems so serene.

on a different, going off to zouk. don't wanna waste those invites now would i...
