Sometimes, having a good memory is not advantageous.
The past seems a lot more vivid than the present and nothing in the future can replace what you had then.
Layers upon layers of memories have culminated in a bubblewrapped world, unspoilt by modern minimalism. The clutter lays unpacked, brown pages of "Dear Diary" in abundance, old photographs depicting a more carefree time..
The walking archive that is memory records each experience, incident, argument like a secretary, but sometimes I wished mine was like an etch-a-sketch.

I feel the same way.
But why replace when there is a chance to continue?
If you miss what you have lost, a slow but definite retry could bring these good times back.
Though life can be fun without, it is nicer to share all with someone special.
